Poem of The Week – The Ascendant

Welcome to my poem of the weeek. a short poem or sometimes a prayer to uplift, heal and rejuvenate your mind body and soul.

I wrote this week’s poem “The Ascendant” to celebrate the gift of love between souls.

The Ascendant
c. Ntathu 2012

Let us dance together through the moon lit sky
Through the tropics of Cancer, Capricorn and conjunct on the Venus Star
let us lie together, as one upon the crescent moon
And witness the glory of creation adorn another day.

Let our vigour, passion for life, fuel all desires
as we aspire to be all we came to be and, more
Let the power of Attraction, the Secret encased within, unite our Souls
as we plough the fertile lands.

Let the glory, the early morning sun, rise and greet the passions within
as we partake of the juice of Life ~
the yin and the yang, forging as One
to unravel and lay bare upon the essence of the Earth.

Prayer of the Week-Prayer For Excellence

Yoga Inspires Prayer of the Week
A short prayer to uplift, inspire and rejuvenate your soul.

Blessed Selves, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your daily life, I wish you and your family an excellent weekend.

Breathe in...and slowly exhale

This morning after meditation, I felt so grateful and abundant. I sat in my space for an extra few minutes allowing the waves of gratitude to flow through. It was a precious moment and reminded me how easy it is for us to lose touch with our Creator and drift in the world according to any ole whim.

In that vein, I was inspired to pen these few words which I would like to share with you.

Prayer of Excellence

Dear Father God, thank you for your presence in my life, for being with me, walking beside me and holding my hand. Help me to grow, to be the best I came to be, help me to shine, to radiate joy, to trust and know ALL is Thine.

Hold my hand as I take the next step, strive to reach the higher ground and leave my ego aside.

Dear Creative Spirit, guide my thoughts so that I can hold my peace and give you space to say your piece. Encourage me to see the beauty, the wonder and majesty of people I don’t take to, through your eyes, not mine, which are clouded with dirt, dust and inner city crime.

Help me to shine and guide me back to centre when I threaten to stand in my way and shove you aside-especially when your way is “too slow and time-consuming for busy ole me”. Help me to stand firm and bathe in the grace and beauty of your divine hand as I stretch, breathe and be.

With love, thanks and praises

The English are obsessed with the weather. At bus-stops, you will overhear conversations between random strangers, bemoaning the state of the Weather. The Weather is a National Institution, something we all talk about and have a view on.

Unlike the Weather, death is something we do not discuss. Yet death is all around us. Every day we awake we are drawing a breath towards our death. Like the early rising sun, death, dying is one thing you can count on happening to someone close to you.

I know many of you are mourning the loss of loved ones. It hurts. Read more…?
